East Canyon Resort1
East Canyon Resort
East Canyon Resort, located in Morgan County, UT is a small private resort community in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains. The new clubhouse we are building for them will serve as a gathering place for families enjoying the resort, as well as a place for management to have a few offices. The main gathering room will be ideal for holding parties and functions. The design of the property is a fusion between traditional Mountain Craftsman style, with an edge of contemporary. This modern leaning was requested by the Resort Management to compliment the style of the resort lodging. In working with SJB Architects we were able to come up with a design that perfectly matched their vision.

Parade of Homes Highlights

Cottonwood Craftsman113
Cottonwood Craftsman

We built this home with one primary goal: pay tribute to the Arts & Crafts architectural style. The traditional Utah home, including the strong European-influenced trends of the past 8-10 years, has become so over done that a breath of fresh air was desperately needed. Based on the feedback we received during the 2008 Parade of Homes, we accomplished our goal. It was indeed a breath of fresh air. The home was designed by Dave Brown, co-owner of Lake City Custom Homes, and Sam Bawden of SJB Architects. It received the Best Architecture award from the Parade and was featured in REAL ESTATE EXECUTIVE magazine as their “favorite home of the year”! Click here to read the article.

Brandtlee Manor

This home was designed to be both welcoming and comfortable. With the help of innovative interior designer, Melanie Kirkland, this home was a crowd favorite of the 2007 Parade of Homes. The bright and open layout, the contemporary furnishings, and the creative use of space resulted in a home worth remembering. Featuring a fun loft for the kids accessed by a bridge that towers above the family great room and entry foyer, and a family-friendly theater in the basement’s large game room, this home triumphed above its peers.
