Lake City Drywall uses ToughRock® gypsum boards made by Georgia Pacific. This drywall is a paper-faced gypsum panels used for a variety of applications including interior wall, floor and ceiling applications, Type X boards, abuse-resistant boards, veneer plaster base systems, and panels for use in fire-rated assemblies.
Georgia-Pacific Gypsum supports sustainable production of gypsum wallboard by using reclaimed gypsum, recycled plant waste, recycled paper, and clean fuels. Georgia Pacific recycles enough wallboard annually to build over 50,000 homes.
Lake City Drywall uses a wide array of joint compounds, tapes, and trims that are tailored to your exacting standards and preferences for finishing. And our assortment of plasters offers the highest performance and aesthetics within those applications.
Our preferred joint compound is SHEETROCK® brand All-Purpose Joint Compounds which are used for embedding joint tape, finishing gypsum panel joints, and hand applying simple texturing. They are also ideal for skim coating gypsum panel surfaces and laminating and repairing cracks in interior plaster and masonry that is not subject to moisture.
The compounds offer easy workability and deliver excellent slip and bond, good crack resistance, and low shrinkage. They provide excellent bonding properties that are retained even under humid job conditions. They are available in ready-mixed formulation and in a conventional, drying-type powder that mixes easily with water.
The compounds meet ASTM C475.
